Viewing Cameras in the Portal
Live View
The primary way to monitor Mini-RWIS cameras is through Live View.
Steps
Log in to the Viaesys Portal.
Navigate to Live View.
Select Cameras.
You will see a list of available weather station cameras.
Click any camera to open its live details.
Camera Information Display
The camera view provides:
Latest captured image
Air temperature
Relative humidity
Pavement temperature (if sensor installed)
Battery level
Current weather conditions
Date and time the image was taken
Viewing Historical Images
You can view images from any date range.
Steps
Open a camera in Live View
Click Gallery
Select a Start Date and End Date
Click Apply
The system will display images starting from 12:00 AM for the selected date.
You can scroll through images captured throughout the day.
Printing Images
Images can be printed for documentation or reporting.
⚠️ Tip
To avoid printing a large number of images, narrow the time range using:
Start Time
End Time
Creating Time-Lapse Playback
Time-lapse allows you to view multiple days of images as a video.
Steps
Select a camera
Choose a date range
Click Time Lapse
Press Play
The system will convert images into a fast-forward video.
Recommended time range:
3–4 days
This allows you to observe weather or road condition changes over time.
Click Stop to end playback.
Viewing Sensor Trends
The Trend feature shows sensor readings over time.
Data Available
Battery voltage
Air temperature
Pavement temperature
Sensor readings
Charts display values across a timeline.
Example
Battery voltage typically:
Increases during daytime (solar charging)
Decreases overnight
You can adjust the date range to analyze specific time periods.
Camera Controls
Additional camera controls are available via the three-dot menu in the portal.
De-Ice Feature
If the camera has a lens de-icer, you can activate it remotely.
Steps
Click the three dots
Select De-Ice
The system will:
Heat the lens
Run the cycle for 1–2 minutes
Capture the next image after de-icing
Burst Mode (Municipal Systems Only)
Burst mode increases image capture frequency.
Typical cameras capture images every:
15–30 minutes
Burst mode allows shorter intervals.
Available Intervals
5 minutes
10 minutes
15 minutes
30 minutes
Burst mode can run for up to 8 hours.

Larger battery
Larger solar panel
Using the Image Gallery Report
You can also access images via Reports → Image Gallery.
This provides:
Larger image view
Multi-camera view
Printable reports
Steps
Navigate to Reports
Select Image Gallery
Choose a date range
Select one or more cameras
Click Apply
Images will display in chronological order.
Managing Users
Admins can create users who can access cameras.
Steps
Go to Users
Click Add User
Required fields:
Name
Role
Email
Password
User Roles
Admin
Admins can:
Access the portal
View cameras
Rename devices
Manage users
Configure settings
AllTrack Only
Users can:
Access the AllTrack mobile app
View camera images
They cannot access the portal.
User Credentials
Email format must follow standard email format:
However, it does not need to be a real email address.
Password requirements:
Minimum: 8 characters
Default password example:
ABCD1234
Using Access Groups
Access Groups allow admins to limit which cameras certain users can see.
Example
You may want a user to only see:
West Zone cameras
Steps
Go to Settings → Defaults → Access Groups
Create a new group
Name the group (example: West Zone)
Select the cameras to include
Save
Then assign the group to a user.
Assigning Access
Open the user profile
Go to Access
Assign the created access group
Save
The user will only see the cameras included in that group.
Renaming Cameras
New cameras are displayed using their device ID numbers by default.
You can rename them for easier identification.
Steps
Go to Devices
Select Mini-Arvis
Click the device you want to rename
Edit the Name field
Save
The new name will appear in:
Live View
AllTrack App
Installing the AllTrack Mobile App
The AllTrack app allows users to monitor cameras from a phone.
Download the App
Search for:
Viaesys AllTrack
in:
Apple App Store
Google Play Store
Look for the icon with:
White background
Upside-down teardrop logo
Logging into the App
Open the AllTrack app
Enter your portal login credentials
Tap Sign In
Users with AllTrack-only access will only be able to use the mobile app.
Viewing Cameras in AllTrack
Once logged in:
Select ROS (Road Observation System).
Swipe left or right to switch cameras.
For each camera you will see:
Latest image
Air temperature
Humidity
Pavement temperature
Battery level
Viewing Older Images
To view older photos:
Tap View More
Select a different date
The app will display historical images for that camera.
Viewing Sensor Reports in the App
The app also provides sensor reports.
Available reports include:
Battery voltage
Air temperature (Celsius / Fahrenheit)
Pavement temperature (Celsius / Fahrenheit)
Users can adjust the date range for these reports.
Using Camera Controls in the App
De-Ice
Tap De-Ice to activate the lens heater.
The system will run a heating cycle before the next image capture.
Burst Mode
If available, the Burst Mode button will appear next to De-Ice.
This allows temporary high-frequency image capture.
